Vyond Animation – HTML lists

Overview

In 2021, I started a part-time Master of Education program in Online Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto.

For one of my courses, I was asked to develop a microlearning lesson that met the following criteria:

  • Focus on a single “knowledge nugget”.
  • Begin the lesson with an advance organizer.
  • Quickly review any relevant background knowledge that the learner should know prior to the lesson.
  • Offer opportunities for the learning to practice their new knowledge at the end of the lesson.

I taught an introductory web development course at Centennial College in Toronto for several years so decided to develop a microlearning lesson about HTML lists.

  • Target Audience: Beginner HTML users
  • Tools Used: Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Year: 2021

eLearning Development

I decided to use the Vyond animation studio for this assignment as it allowed me to develop a visually engaging video using animation as well as add an audio voiceover track. At the time, I didn’t have a lot of experience with Vyond, so using it for this assignment gave me an opportunity to spend some time with it and learn how it worked.

Visual Design

I use the assets available in Vyond for this lesson as many of the assets I used were animated. I designed any additional images that were needed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
